Mary PrinzAll of the recordings have been made by a prominent Evergreen Colorado Social Worker and Hypnotherapist Mary Prinz, LCSW, LISW. Mary Prinz has made the recordings, and sent many clients home with the recordings on CD, and the feedback has been wonderful. The recordings use special binaural beats in a background music, as well as the voice of Mary to guide you through the hypnosis. You can read more about Mary Prinz and her background by clicking here.

How effective is HypnosisThe hypnotherapy recordings of Mary use binaural beats to achieve brain wave entrainment.

How Binaural Beats WorkBinaural Beats

A binaural beat is generated from two tones. Each tone is of a slightly different pitch. One tone is presented to the left ear, and the other to the right. The two tones combine into a single tone sensed by your brain. This single tone pulse is the stimulation when entraining with binaural beats.

Binaural beats are probably the most well-known stimulus used for entrainment. They have been shown to work. Binaural beats originate in the brainstem's superior olivary nucleus, the site of contralateral integration of auditory input. The binaural beat is neurologically conveyed to the reticular formation which uses neurotransmitters to initiate changes in brainwave activity. Through adjusting the binaural beats during hypnosis, the recording can be used to access different states of consciouness, for instance problem solving states, relaxed states or deep learning states.
