Isis Statue in Black and Gold
The Goddess Isis is the first daughter of Geb, God of the Earth, and Nut, Goddess of the Overarching Sky. She was considered to represent all that is feminine and was recognised as the ideal mother and wife. In the outstretched wing position she demonstrates her role as a protective guide of the underworld.
