The Bagua Mirror is a protective tool used in Feng Shui to deflect and diffuse negative energy (also known as Sha Qi) - the killing energy generated from poison arrows directed to your house, shop or building. At its best, this kind of killing Chi could result in arguments, depression and minor misfortunes, and at its worst brings severe sickness, mishaps, accidents and even death in the household if it is not promptly dealt with.
It consists of a mirror, surrounded by eight trigrams (see diagram opposite). Examples of common Sha Qi found in homes can include;
The eight trigrams of the bagua.
Mirrors in Feng Shui are potent ornaments which not only have the ability to absorb your troubles and turn them into opportunities and positive outcomes, but also have the power to capture auspicious chi. They are also traditionally used for space clearing, protecting against people of bad intention, dissolving bad chi, turning enemies into friends, attracting new love into one’s life and bringing good luck. The mirror uses reflection of rays for space clearing and the great part is that it will continuously clear the space automatically.
Bagua mirrors can also be used to counteract negative Qi of a spiritual nature such as evil entities.
They are only used outside the house, office or retail business, and are mounted above the door or window with the mirror facing toward the offending object/"poison arrow". Never use a bagua mirror on the inside.
Hint. Place a bagua mirror above your front door to harmonise and create good fortune for all those that enter. Next time you visit a Chinese restaurant or business, have a look above the entrance for a bagua mirror.
There are a number of bagua mirrors available through Natures Energies, each with a different nature.
Flat Bagua Mirrors
We now cary a variety of flat bagua mirrors made from a hard perspex material, suitable for all weather conditions.
Red Green and Gold
These bagua mirrors have the colors red, green and gold surrounding the flat mirror. In Feng Shui, each color is symbolic, having different purposes;
Concave Bagua Mirrors
The concave bagua mirror (bowed inwardly) is a useful device as it neutralizes negative energies passively rather than reflecting the energies back, as is the case with flat mirrors (neutral) or convex mirrors. This is an effective means to dispersing harmful energies without harming those around us (e.g., neighbours).
Convex Bagua Mirrors
Convex Bagua Mirrors are bowed outwards, and will reflect all incoming feng shui bad energies back into the environment, weakening them as they are dispersed. As this may harm your neighbors and immediate surroundings, great care must be taken before installing a Convex Bagua.
